[SEMIOPEN LOG] EXPEDITION 1 TEAM 2

 Semi-open log for the first expedition, Team 2 (Hiyoshi-Oshitari Y- Uion - Ibu).

How this works: only characters involved in this event can tag in this log. Set up categories/threads as needed, for example :Camping, Digging, More Digging. Other characters can also tag eg if someone makes a comm call, but make sure you ask/inform that person first, and this should not take up significant portions of the log. Oh thank god, Yuushi was helping him out here. Niou had originally only planned on sharing the eggs with Hiyoshi (with maybe half of one to Yuushi), but if it would stop them from talking, he was here for this.

One egg each. Niou helpfully handed them out and started to peel his own.

"Let me know if you need to switch drivers, Dr Oshitari. I can drive a little."

Shinji was about to reply when an egg was forced into his hand. Well, he was getting hungry... After mounting his camera on a sturdy box to continue to get footage, Shinji peeled his egg, then tested its bounciness between his fingers before taking a bite.

It had been a few days since Hiyoshi last had an egg, so he's pleasantly surprised.

"From Niou?"

Because of course, it's Uion on this mission with him.

"Who else? He snuck them out of the egg collection for us and had them boiled and packed." Maybe he should have given some to the other team as well, but also Niou had a sneaking suspicion Yanagi had already taken care of it.

"No poison, I promise."

Hiyoshi stops mid-bite. "What do you mean 'no poison'? That makes it sound like maybe poison."

He'd always thought his roommate was weird, but he'd never thought he was dangerous. Until now, anyway.

[chickens]

Oops. "It was a throwaway line." Niou tsked and plucked the egg out of Hiyoshi's fingers, handing over his own instead. "There. This one has no poison because he's not about to poison his own brother, is he? Eat this one."

"He has no way of knowing which egg I get." But he takes Uion's egg anyhow and eats it, because he's not turning down an egg that's only maybe-but-probably-not-poisoned.

... there were teeth marks in the egg he'd taken from Hiyoshi.

Niou stared at them for a long moment before he sighed and held it back out for Hiyoshi to take. "You eat that one too."

"I don't have diseases." But if Uion was going to be fussy, Hiyoshi would happily eat the second egg as well.

"I'm not hungry, it's fine. And you're the one who has to fight off the sandworms if they attack, so you should get fed the most."
