kin_chan: (HELLO SMILE FRIEND)
Who: Tooyama and Tachibana
When: Just before the Halloween party!
Where: Their room
What: Tachibana helping Tooyama get ready

Tachibana hadn't really put too much thought into Halloween until Kin-chan had mentioned a costume. Surely it was too late for him to come up with anything, but he was definitely going to help Kin-chan with his.

"So, what do you need me to do?"

Kintarou beamed at Tachibana, who was being super helpful about his costume. His dress uniform was hanging up (neatly pressed!), he’d managed to find a non-leopard print shirt to wear under it and now just had to do the other things to make himself look like Byodoin.

“Gotta brush my hair!! And put on the FACIAL HAIR ‘cause I need to look like hairy Byodoin.” He’d found a marker in Byodoin’s office for this and held it out to Tachibana.

Tachibana took the marker, laughing. "Okay, I'll comb your hair after you get dressed, but I'll draw on the facial hair. Sit down." He said, motioning to Kin's desk chair.

Kintarou scrambled to his desk chair, spinning it around and gripping onto the seat as he stopped to grin more at Tachibana. Okay okay. “Make sure to make it look like he hasn’t shaved ALL DAY. ‘Cause sometimes he shaves and it goes away but it comes back super quickly I think he’s just very hairy.”

Tachibana nodded, grabbing his chair and sitting down in front of Kin. Carefully, he started sketching on the beard. "You've really put thought into this costume. I'm impressed."

“YAH!! ‘Cause he’s gonna go as me, so I need to MAKE SURE that everyone knows we are dressed as each other!!” Even if he couldn’t dye his hair blond for this, he at least had managed to get some fabric to tie around his forehead.

"I thought about the hair thing." Tachibana said. "I was a bit rude about it. I'm sorry." He had been a little harsh in his refusal to help Kin dye his hair. He finished the beard and nodded. "Not bad."

Kintarou shook his head. “It’s OKEY. I guess maybe I won’t have been able to run as fast if I had blonde hair… maybe that’s why you are so slow…” he cackled to himself and grinned, letting Tachibana finish off the beard. And OKAY!

He jumped up off the chair to run into the bathroom to look. “WOWOW Tachibana it is REALLY GOOD!!!” IT was a permanent marker too, it was going to be on his face for a while.

Tachibana hadn't realized it was a permanent marker until halfway through, but he figured it wasn't really hurting anything. "I'm slow because you're superhuman, Kin-chan." He laughed. "Okay, put on your uniform."

“Noo, you just need to train more,” Kintarou said, coming out of the bathroom, still terribly pleased with his markered face. “Gotta WRESTLE more! Lift more weights!!”

He stripped down, pulling on the undershirt first and then the carefully pressed and wrinkle-free uniform. And he wriggled because URGH it was uncomfortable.

Tachibana laughed. "I go to the gym everyday." He pleaded his case. "But I'll keep trying." He grabbed his brush and motioned for Kin to get back in the chair. "Alright, let's do your hair."

“Yah but you could WRESTLE with me more.” He clambered back into the chair and sat patiently. “I saw you in the GYM the other day!! You were PUNCHING THINGS!!! It was very impressive, Tachibana!!”

"Sure, we can wrestle some more." Tachibana agreed. He smiled gently at the compliment as he combed Kin's hair. "Thank you…I'm still pretty rusty, though."

“I will go easy on you, don’t worry Tachibana,” Kintarou said, although he didn’t think it was necessary with how easily Tachibana sometimes got him into headlocks. And was pulling on the knots in his hair. “Gotta punch HARDER. Until the bag breaks!”

"No." Tachibana said, gently tapping the top of Kin's head with the brush. "That would be destroying equipment and that's bad." He scolded. "Those bags aren't meant to be broken."

Kintarou frowned and sunk down a little in his chair in a sulk. “Not my fault the bags are weak and break super easily…” he sulked. “Meybe if they were made tougher i wouldn’t punch them off the hook or punch through them… gotta get a better bag…”

"Tooyama Kintarou, you are extraordinarily strong. Technology cannot keep up with your strength." Tachibana pulled on another knot. "You have to understand that those bags are great for those of us who aren't you."

Kintarou SIIGHHEDDD loudly, grumbling a bit as Tachibana tugged on his hair to get the knots out. "It's unfair. Everything is for people who aren't me," he sulked some more. "Treadmills not meant to go that fast. Bags not meant to be punched that hard. Bars not meant to have that much weight put on them…" Kintarou just pouted. "I should just do PULLUPS all the time. But then probably get it trouble again 'cause I gotta put weights on my feet."

Tachibana actually felt for the kid. It wasn't often Kintarou expressed true frustration. "I'll talk to engineering and see if they know any way to at least make the punching bags stronger." He said gently. Sorry, Niou.

Kintarou kept pouting and sulking because just getting a stronger punching bag wasn’t enough, since he’d already started complaining. “AND!! I can’t go out to kill sandworms ‘cause they said I killed too many but it was so super fun and I got to go out with BYODOIN.” Kintarou sigghheeedd sadly. “Now he just sits in his OFFICE and doesn’t WRESTLE enough with me, and Hiyoshi is no fun and other dumb people in security are too weak to wrestle, I can’t ‘cause I’ll break their bones.”

"Have you told Byodoin that you're sad about this?" Tachibana asked gently, deciding to give Kin-chan a hug. "I know it's hard, being so different and powerful…" He really wished he could help in some way. "Do you want me to talk to Byodoin?"

He shook his head, clinging back to Tachibana. “No ‘cause he’s very busy. And I SLEPT OVER with him!!” That had been a bit of a fun adventure. “But he’s very busy with his son. And with super helpful MIZUKI.” Kintarou frowned. “I just gotta TRAIN HARDER to get stronger than him so he can’t IGNORE ME and will wrestle more.”

"I don't think he’s meaning to ignore you, Kin-chan." Tachibana said. "But if you don't want me to talk to him, I won’t." He pulled back to look at Kin-chan. "Your costume looks great."

Kintarou immediately perked up and scrambled off his chair to get the strip of fabric to tie around his forehead and held it out to Tachibana. “Okay okay, put this on me!” He patted his hair, a bit confused at the hair that wasn’t sticking up in its usual mess.

Tachibana took the fabric and tied it around Kin-chan's forehead, then stepped back to take a final look. "You look great!"

He took off for the bathroom to look at himself in the mirror, cackling to himself as he looked at his hair and marker-covered face instead. Perfect. “I am BYODOIN HOUOU,” he cackled some more, coming out of the bathroom to swing on the pull-up bar.

Tachibana laughed along with him. "I'm glad I could help, Kin-chan. I should probably head off to help Marui with the food for the party."

OH! “OKAY!! I will come see you at the party, okay!?!” Kintarou dropped down from the bar. “I will go see BYODOIN and show him and make sure he is doing his HAIR RIGHT ‘cause I bet he won’t.”

Tachibana nodded. "I'm not sure how long I'll stick around, but I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." He smiled. "Go have fun, Kin-chan."

“BYE TACHIBANA!!” Kintarou patted his own hair again. “THANK YOU for helping me!!” And then Kintarou was OFF out the door, running to try and find Byodoin (who was hopefully only a couple of doors away getting ready).
