 You did it ! You survived one year on this hell planet new colony! 

The UEA has provisionally determined this colony to be a success, so that means ... more funding! More booze! (no salary bump though)

In celebration, Ryuuzaki has organised a celebration to mark the one-year anniversary of the founding of the Izanagi colony. 

The inspector has been shuffled off-planet, together with the naughty little poachers, so everyone can take the opportunity to relax and party the night away \o/

What's a party without booze? The drink policebouncer robots are on patrol as usual, but their programming has been tuned down to ignore mild tipsiness. Have fun!

DANCE FLOOR

Playing everything from vintage classic Shakira to the latest Martian beats, accompanied by an obliging bot flashing multicoloured lights everywhere. There is also foam. Don't ask.

Buffet

Ryuuzaki's really opened the stores for this spread. Everything from Earth cheese to frozen fruit and the harvests from the base's own greenhouses have been lovingly prepared for maximum enjoyment.

Yanagi was definitely not a dancer. Nor did he have any sense of rhythm whatsoever. Nonetheless, it was pretty entertaining watching everyone get sudsy.

Mizuki sat at the bar, nursing his frozen strawberry daiquiri (only slightly seaweed-tasting). He was completely exhausted from traipsing around the coast assessing nonexistent seismic events, and from filing ALL the paperwork that resulted from the inspector's visit and subsequent... accident. He was going to need another 3 of these drinks, at minimum.

Inui made his way towards Yanagi, glad for the extra height as he pushed his way through the flock of people attempting to dance.

"The foam here is 1.7 pH points higher than recommended for prolonged skin exposure, you should move and clean off," he said once he reached Yanagi, nudging him on the side.

"A small inconvenience for an endorphin rush might be acceptable to some," replied Yanagi, snaking an arm around Inui's waist and pulling him deeper into the mess of foam and bodies.

Inui looked deeply unimpressed as he was made to stay, which would be more effective if foam hadn't gotten onto his glasses already. Well, at least he was fully dressed and the alkalinity of the foam wasn't sufficient to burn through clothing, he supposed.

"If you want an endorphin rush, there are chemicals for that. Or we could use mild electric shocks to stimulate the pituitary gland." Though he was OK with stepping a bit closer to Yanagi.

"Nothing wrong with a little cardiovascular exercise to go along with it," Yanagi replied, unsurprised and unbothered at Inui's roundabout solutions. "I find it acceptably entertaining."

"48% less efficient," Inui said, but he did at least shuffle his feet a little from side to aide. And if you looked closely enough, maybe occasionally it fell in time with the music.

Yanagi wasn't doing much better with his stilted swaying. One side was clearly much less flexible than the other.

"But perhaps more enjoyable," he said, drawing closer to avoid a wildly spinning couple.

Tachibana doesn't drink, but he did notice Mizuki looking quite exhausted and walked over, smiling. "Mizuki-san, thank you for your hard work these past couple of weeks."
