[MONTHLY BULLETIN] Update 10

Greetings, residents of Yomi!

Today, I bring you your monthly bulletin on recent events both here and around UEA-settled space.

Firstly, a summary of events here in Yomi:

• A (relatively) quiet month was had as we made good progress on the construction of the Belt Ocean Outpost

• Sub Lt. Yanagi has registered the Book Club for employee activities. Please sign up via your communicators.

General announcements:

• The scheduled monthly communications are in. Please check your communicators for any messages you may have received.

• The inspector from HQ was indeed early. He’ll be here on May 20 so LOOK SHARP. It is expected that he will make a tour of Yomi and our two outposts.Try not to let him die.

• Related to the above, I will be sending some of you away on special tasks.

• The deadline for sending your monthly allotment of communications to UEA space is May 30, UTC 1200.

• Expeditions are on hold until the inspector leaves. 

Awards and Punishments:

• I don’t have time for these this month but believe me, I am keeping track. 

Scientific updates:

• Dr. Oshitari has kindly provided me with some kind of complicated chart that looks like the pedigree of Earth royal families. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to represent but I’m assuming it is Good Science. 

News from UEA HQ, Earth and other colonies

• Fires and droughts are expected throughout Earth’s northern hemisphere as summer approaches. The UEA is considering importing foodstuffs from colony worlds to compensate for the predicted poor harvest. On our end, we should be prepared to send some of those crab things.
