Who: Kenya, Zaizen, and Marui
When: Nov 1st
Where: Zaizen's room?
What: Kenya and Zaizen deal with the fallout from Halloween.
Kenya’s head was pounding as he woke up the day after the Halloween party. He hadn’t been expecting to wake up with both Marui and Zaizen in bed with him. He groaned as he sat up and looked at the two men. He grabbed his communicator to check the time and stared at the certificate in his notifications.
“Oh, Fuck.”
Zaizen rolled over, his arm whacking Marui in the face in the process. Huh... Marui was here? And Kenya? His head was killing him.
"Apparently last night's party was wild..." Zaizen grumbled tiredly. "Did we have a threesome? I can't even remember."
“Ow!” Marui flailed blindly in self defense for all of two seconds before burying his face deeper into the pillow. It was waaay too early to be getting up, and he was having none of it. He grabbed at the blankets, trying his hardest to disappear from the world; his only concern right now was getting a few more minutes of sleep.
“I think we did…” Kenya said. “But there’s something more serious than that.” He handed his communicator over to Zaizen. “We…We got married.”
Zaizen squinted at the communicator screen, having a hard time processing things. They got... What now? Married!? How the hell did they manage that?
"...Please tell me I at least took your name." Zaizen wasn't really as disturbed by his sudden marital status as one would expect.
Kenya nodded. "Yeah, you're apparently Oshitari Hikaru now." Kenya said, burying his face in his hands. "This is so unromantic. How could we do this? This is such a Shouta thing to do."
Zaizen shrugged, still only half awake and pretty sure he was just having a weird dream. "It's cool. We can have a big ceremony in a few years when we're back on Mars."
He moved to cuddle back up to Marui, apparently content to go back to sleep.
Kenya blinked. "This is serious, Hikaru! We got married when we were drunk!" Was this a panic attack? Possibly. "My parents are going to ship themselves here and kill me!!"
"Kenya-san, this is a dream. Go back to sleep." Yup, Zaizen had just decided that this wasn't reality.
“No it’s not,” came Marui’s muffled voice from beneath the covers, nearly unintelligible.
"Bunta's right!" Kenya exclaimed. "We're married and both our families are going to be pissed!" His mother was going to cry, he just knew it. "And, Oh God, what will our brothers think?"
Zaizen kind of stared at Marui. And then looked to the panicking Kenya. And then back to Marui. "...What do you mean this isn't a dream? Wait... were you there, Bunta-san? And you didn't stop us?"
Sigh. So much for getting more sleep. Marui emerged from his hiding spot, groggy face smeared with the remnants of last night's sparkly green makeup. “Yeah? Pretty sure I sucked some guy off so he’d do it for you. It was all you two would talk about, it was getting kinda annoying actually.”
Kenya groaned again and shook his head. "That’s when you just, like, leave us alone! Don't help us make it worse!" He pulled at his hair. "Okay…okay…this is fine. We were drunk…surely we can contest it…"
Zaizen’s head snapped up to look at Kenya, clearly more upset with the idea of annulling the marriage than the fact the marriage happened in the first place. "What? No way. If we're already married we're staying married. I don't want to divorce you."
These two sure were freaking out hard for people who spent all last night proclaiming their desire to get married. “It’d be an annulment, not a divorce. What’s the big deal anyway? You wanted to be married, now you’re married. If you’re worried about your parents just don’t tell them.” Genius Marui coming in with the genius answer, as usual.
Kenya looked immediately guilty. He didn't want to make Hikaru feel bad. "I mean…I guess I just always imagined it more romantic. Not…drunk and then having a threesome with Sexy Mike Wazowski…" He looked at Marui. "My cousin is here…they'll know."
Zaizen was legitimately more upset by the idea of an annulment than the marriage itself. "I think getting caught up in a moment of passion is pretty romantic... and anyway, it's not like an annulment will keep the news from your parents. So just stay married to me."
“Can’t trust your cousin to keep a secret, huh? Good to know.” Marui rolled his eyes and flopped back into the pillow. “Nothing’s stopping you from having a fancy romantic wedding still. And it’s not like it was your first time, so don’t act like I ruined that either. You guys are so dramatic.” Easy for Marui to say when it didn’t involve him.
Kenya lowered His head. Was he being dramatic? He sighed softly. "Okay…" He guessed he would let it drop. "They don't have couple's housing here, though, so it's not like anything is really changing…" Which was another thing that bugged him about all of this.
Zaizen looked annoyed at that. Well, he was annoyed with Kenya's whole reaction, really He was fine being married, but apparently Kenya wasn't, and that hurt. "...Just go back to your room, Kenya-san. I don't want to see you anymore."
Kenya stared at Zaizen. "Don't you even know why I am upset? I don't even remember marrying you. You're okay with that?" Kenya didn't mind being married to Zaizen…he just didn't like the way it happened. "I had such big plans for asking you to marry me…"
Zaizen sulked. "...It's not ideal, but I don’t care. I'm still happy, and all you're doing is being upset about it."
Kenya bit his lip. "I'm sorry." He said softly. "I didn't mean to upset you…"
“Aaawkwaard…” Marui had to say something to break the tension, because getting caught in the middle of a newlywed couple’s fight while literally in the middle of them was more uncomfortable than even he could handle. “What if we ask security for some of the footage from last night? Maybe that’ll bring back some memories. Kinda like a home video, right?”
Zaizen looked at Marui, impressed by that idea, actually. "...Yeah. We can see how things happened if nothing else. Would that make you feel better, Kenya-san?"
Kenya nodded. "Yeah…" He smiled softly. "That's a good idea." He just wanted to know how it happened. "I'm sorry I got upset. I guess I just got swept up in losing the chance to really sweep you off your feet."
"It's fine. But I was obviously pretty swept off my feet anyway. I mean, we're married now." And Zaizen WAS happy about that. "And there are worse wedding gifts than a threesome with Bunta-san."
Marui gave Zaizen the side-eye. “I’m literally sitting right here.”
Kenya started laughing. "He's just teasing you, Bunta!" He took a deep breath, finally okay with everything. "Well…I guess this is official, then. Um…kinda sucks we can't share a room."
Zaizen nodded his head in agreement. "I mean, there's bound to be spousal housing eventually..." In the meantime they'd just keep crashing each other's rooms. "...And we do have to have a real ceremony when we're back on Mars, or my mom will freak out."
Maybe Marui could suck off the officiant of that ceremony too. Make it a tradition.
Hey, whatever needed to be done for his friends’ happiness. Marui was glad things had calmed down a bit, and relaxed enough to start stretching the sleep out of his limbs. “Glad we got all that worked out… now who’s gonna do a run for leftovers, I’m starving.” Not to mention craving salt and grease to ease his hangover.
"Yeah, we'll definitely have a real ceremony…" Kenya snorted at Marui’s request. "Alright, alright, I'll go…" He stood up. "Where are my pants?"
Zaizen shrugged. "I don't know. I remember just as little of last night as you." He winced, head really hurting now. "Get me a hangover spray too?"
Kenya found someone's pants and threw them on. "I'm on it." He said, bending down to kiss Zaizen’s forehead. "Be back soon." And with that, Kenya was off to run errands.
Times like this, Marui wished Kenya wasn’t quite so fast. “He better get me a spray too or I’m gonna riot.”
