Atobe narrowly resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose and instead examined the labyrinth of minor wounds that stretched over Tooyama's skin like the world's worst subway map.
With one finger tip, he gently prodded but did not remove the embedded claw.
"This will have to be removed," he said. "However, to do so now would cause bleeding and risk further infection from an open wound. Unless it is particularly painful..." his eyes swept over the skin. "I'll sterilize the skin and you can snap your nanosuit back around the area."
Stepping back, he slid the medical supply bag from his back and removed a disinfecting spray.
